NSW Solar for Apartment Residents grant opens for applications
NSW apartment residents can unlock rooftop solar at half the cost thanks to a new government grant program.
Owners corporations can now access the Solar for Apartment Residents grant, which covers 50% of the cost of installing a shared solar PV system on qualifying apartment buildings and other multi-unit residences in NSW.
This will help apartment residents, including renters, to reduce their energy bills and carbon footprint.
A total of $25 million in grant funding is available, with up to $150,000 per project.
This may mean only a few hundred buildings will receive funding, so Allume advises residents to get their application in as soon as possible.
